Lekar
Hum
Deewana
Dil
is
one
of
the
latest
releases
which
marks
the
debut
of
Kareena
and
Ranbir
Kapoor's
cousin,
Armaan
Jain.
After
watching
the
movie,
I
feel
that
the
aspiring
actor
needs
to
work
a
lot
to
become
a
good
actor
just
like
his
cousins,
Kareena
and
Ranbir.
Lekar
Hum
Deewana
Dil
also
marks
the
directorial
debut
of
Arif
Ali
who
is
the
younger
brother
of
famous
filmmaker,
Imtiaz
Ali.
The
movie
Le
Kar
Hum
Deewana
Dil
is
a
mixed
bag
of
some
classic
films
like
Love
Story
and
the
hit
Imtiaz
Ali
films
like
Jab
We
Met
and
Love
Aaj
Kal.
In
short,
the
story
is
very
stale
and
we
have
seen
a
lot
of
this
since
decades.
Movie
Review:
Lekar
Hum
Deewana
Dil
starts
with
the
fun
filled
college
life
of
friends
who
enjoy
their
teen
lives.
From
partying
to
drinking,
they
are
cool
and
chilled
out.
Then
comes
a
time
when
Karishma
(Deeksha
Seth)
is
pressurised
to
tie
the
knot
as
soon
as
she
graduates.
She
tries
hard
to
make
the
guy
say
no
to
the
marriage
by
seducing
him
at
the
very
first
family
meeting.
Over
beer,
she
finds
out
a
solution
with
her
best
friend,
Dinno
(Armaan
Jain)
that
they
are
compatible
and
must
get
married.
Just
a
week
before
the
engagement,
Karishma
and
Dinoo
elopes
from
their
house
as
she
doesn't
want
to
get
married
with
the
lucrative
marriage
offer
proposed
to
her
rich
dad.
Now
starts
the
real
struggle
as
the
teen
guy
doesn't
take
right
decisions
and
is
careless
as
well.
They
keep
going
from
one
city
to
another.
We
see
some
really
crazy
scenes
where
Karishma
says
that
she
did
not
carry
much
money
as
Dinoo
didn't
ask
her
too.
Is
this
really
possible
for
couples
of
this
generation
and
age!
Over
their
journey
the
couple
spend
good
times
together
but
after
facing
a
few
troubles,
they
start
fighting,
arguing
and
finally
they
split
and
goes
back
home.
This
is
all
because
she
wants
the
Dinoo
(who
saved
from
getting
married
to
the
guy
her
father
selected)
to
apologise
simply
because
she
was
suffering.
After
filing
divorce,
they
fight
like
cats
and
dogs
which
is
very
typical
among
college
couples.
We
see
a
lot
of
drama
and
then
suddenly
they
realise
that
they
were
happy
together.
This
happens
when
they
start
recollecting
their
good
days
which
they
both
shared
on
their
journey.
However,
the
couple
get
divorced
and
compromise
in
their
lives.
Karishma
says
yes
to
the
groom
selected
by
her
father
and
Dinoo
starts
focusing
on
his
studies.
What
happens
after
they
get
divorced
is
very
typically
filmy.
Our
Verdict:
The
story
is
very
stale
and
failed
to
entertain
the
audience.
Taking
up
already
existing
concept
of
eloping
and
college
romance,
Arif
Ali
failed
to
bring
something
fresh
and
unexpected
on
the
silver
screen.
Music
by
AR
Rahman
is
something
good
that
we
loved
in
this
movie.
Acting:
Armaan
needs
to
learn
a
lot.
He
is
still
very
immature
on
silver
screen
and
lacks
proper
expressions
as
well.
We
can
clearly
make
out
that
it
was
like
a
rehearsal
and
not
the
actual
take!
Deeksha
on
the
other
side
played
better.
