Mark It: Oscars 2016 Nominations & Show Dates Revealed

The date for the next Academy Awards has been announced. Mark the dates in your calendar for the next three years as The Academy has come up with the the dates for the 88th, 89th and 90th Oscar presentations.

The Academy Awards will take place on February 28, 2016, February 26, 2017, and March 4, 2018, respectively.

The 88th Academy Awards will be held at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, and will be televised live by the ABC Television Network.

November 14: The Governors Awards
December 30: Nominations voting opens 8 a.m. PT
January 8: Nominations voting closes 5 p.m. PT
January 14: Oscar Nominations Announcement
February 8: Oscar Nominees Luncheon
February 12: Final voting opens 8 a.m. PT
February 13: Scientific and Technical Awards
February 23: Final voting closes 5 p.m. PT
February 28: 88th Annual Academy Awards, 4 p.m. PT

However, the host of the 2016 Oscars is still unknown. This year, Neil Patrick Harris made his host debut at the Oscars and got mixed response (mostly negative) for his dull hosting skills.

Neil has reportedly said that he will not host Oscars again. In 2014, Ellen DeGeneres hosted Oscars for the second time and is still one of the best hosts.
