'100 Degree Celsius' Enters Legal Battle

100 Degree Celsius, the recently released women centric film, written and directed by debutante Rakesh Gopan, enters a legal battle. A complaint has been filed in Lok Ayuktha against censor board by a person called Manoj Narayanan, for permitting to release the movie. Manoj states the movie portrays women in a wrong manner.

100 Degree Celsius revolves around 5 women- an IT professional, a journalist, a bank employee, a college student and a house wife, played by Swetha Menon, Meghna Raj, Bhama, Ananya and debutant Haritha respectively and the incidents in their life.

Rakesh Gopan, the director of the movie, brushed off the allegations by stating that the movie doesn't intend to portray women in a wrong manner. The director says that the movie is all about the struggles of 5 women who tries to get out of an issue. Rakesh also revealed that Manoj filed complaint against a scene, in which one of the lead characters slaps a man for his misbehaviour; which is absolutely normal in the case of any woman.

100 Degree Celsius is the first part of a thriller movie series. The movie is receiving positive reviews from critics and running successfully in theatres. Along with the 5 leading ladies, Mithun Ramesh, Anu Mohan and Sethu also play pivotal roles in the movie. Rakesh Gopan confirmed that the sequel will go on floors immediately. Bollywood actress Radhika Apte and Tamil actor Shaam will also be a part of the sequel.
