he
followed
the
advice
of
career
adviser
Roger
Dinham
to
work
in
a
gelatin
factory.
Dinham
recalled
the
time
when
he
told
the
now
acclaimed
Welsh
singer
to
“get
his
backside" down
to
a
local
factory
offering
work
in
the
1960"s.

wanted
him
to
go
for
the
job," the
Telegraph
quoted
Dinham
as
saying
at
an
event
to
mark
the
100th
anniversary
of
Wales"s
first
job
centre.
“He
said
he
didn"t
want
it
because
he
was
going
to
be
a
pop
star
and
he
was
going
to
make
it
in
music.
I
said
I
didn"t
care,"
he
added.
