 Rajendraprasad
At a time when the entire film industry is buzzing with films with love, action and family subjects in their backdrop, CC Reddy brought out a film, which is altogether different from routine. Rajendraprasad, who did a wonderful role in Aa Naluguru, played yet another memorable character in his film career in this movie, Mee Sreyobhilashi. It is really a tailor-made character for him and the film stands a synonym that a director could do wonders with a perfect screenplay and excellent narration, even if the storyline is wafer thin and delicate. The movie stands example that circumstances and instances that come across in one's life would have their impact on one's life.

Professor Rajaji (Rajendraprasad) is a widower. He loves a girl and marries her. However, she dies immediately after giving birth to a child. Rajaji brings up the girl Swapna and they both behave like friends altogether. Suddenly, Swapna commits suicide as her lover ditched her. Rajaji then decides not to allow anybody to commit suicide just because they face some problems and want to teach them how to fight the circumstances. He gives an advertisement in the newspapers saying, “If anybody is facing problems and is in a mood to commit suicide should contact him." A total of 10 people approach him saying that they are disgusted with the problems and are planning to commit suicide. He tells them that he is ready to accept their interest to commit suicide and advises them not to commit suicide individually, instead die together. For this, he prepares a plan and tells them that they together go in a bus to Srisailam and jump into the valley along with the bus so that it appears like an accident and they could die peacefully. During their journey, the group faces several incidents, which make them realise the value of life and the moment they are about to die, they revoke their decision. Like this, Rajaji achieves what he plans in a perfect way.

PLUS: The performance of Rajendraprasad is excellent and tremendous. He showed complete ease in the character and his body language, histrionics, perfect comedy timing and the dialogue modulation are extraordinary. He would definitely get the Best Actor award for the film. All other artists including Naresh, Krishna Bhagawan, Ravi Kondala Rao, Suraj, Dhanush, Meena, Rupa, Medha have done complete justice to their respective roles. Another major plus point is the terrific narration of the film. Though there is no big story behind the film and it could be said in a single line, the way it is presented on the screen is superb. When the interval break is announced, the audience feel that how fast we reached to the break point. Likewise, the second half also appears to have completed in a giffy, though it took the usual timing. The twist in the climax is also good, of course, the audience could expect one such incident.

MINUS: There are very few minus points in the film. The director has forgotten to establish the police officer's (Nazar) role in a proper way and as in all the films, the police are highlighted as buffoons. The comedy is also quite situational. The film, being an off-beat in nature and has something special in the form of narration, it could not expect repeat audience which would adversely affect the commercial success of the movie.

REMARKS: The producer and director achieved what they wanted to explain through their film. The film reminds the people about the transformation of Siddhartha into Buddha. Like the instances and incidents influenced Siddhartha to become Buddha, a depressed person could transform and come out of depression in the form of incidents they come across in their life. It has been once again proved that anything that a director wants to explain to the audience in the form of a message, could do that with a perfect narration and there is no need for a big star cast. Camera work by Ravindrababu is okay while Marthand K Venkatesh needs kudos for making the film very crispy yet tasty.

Cast: Rajendraprasad, Naresh, Krishna Bhagawan, Raghubabu, Brahmanandam, Nazar, Chalapati Rao, Ravi Kondala Rao, Tanikella Bharani, Ali, Ram Jagan, Kadambari Kiran, Srinivasa Reddy, Chinna, Gundu Hanumantha Rao, Chitram Sreenu, Suraj, Dhanush, Meena, Rupa, Medha, Radhakumari and others.
