Box Office

All
the
small-budget
films,
I
Am
Kalam,
Chala
Mussaddi
-
Office
Office
etc,
failed
to
pull
in
audience
to
the
theatres,
however
Ajay
Devgn
starrer
Singham
stand
strong
at
the
Box
Office
in
its
third
weekend
also.
Despite
getting
rave
reviews
from
the
film
critics,
film
I
Am
Kalam
saw
poor
collection
at
the
Box
Office.
A
prominent
star
missing
is
definitely
a
draw
back
as
there
is
no
strong
crowd
puller
in
the
film.
As
compared
to
I
Am
Kalam
Chala
Mussaddi
-
Office
Office,
a
movie
adaptation
of
the
television
sitcom
of
the
same
name,
fared
quiet
better.
Meanwhile,
other
releases
like
Chhutanki
and
Warning
were
total
washed-out.
However,
Singham,
the
only
big
release
since
last
two
weeks
has
continued
to
attract
footfalls
to
theatres.
On
Friday,
the
film
completed
its
two-week
successful
run
at
the
theatres
with
a
nett
collection
of
Rs.
73
crores.
It
is
expected
that
the
film
will
enjoy
a
good
run
till
the
coming
Friday
and
is
expected
to
touch
Rs.
90
crore
mark
by
the
end
of
its
third
week.
That
calls
for
a
'Superhit'
tag
for
Singham.
After
two
weeks
of
no
interesting
releases,
audiences
are
eagerly
waiting
for
August
12,
when
Prakash
Jha"s
film
Aarakshan
starring
Amitabh
Bachchan,
Saif
Ali
Khan,
Deepika
Padukone,
Manoj
Bajpayee
and
Prateik
Babbar
will
release.
Since
August
13
and
15
are
holidays
for
Raksha
Bandha
and
Independence
Day,
Aarakshan
will
enjoy
a
long
weekend
and
is
expected
to
register
a
good
opening
at
theatres.
