Jack Tweed faces rape trial

London (ANI): Reality TV star Jade Goody's widower Jack Tweed is facing trial for allegedly raping a teenager. The 22-year-old club promoter, who married Big Brother star Goody, 27, shortly before she lost her battle against cervical cancer in March 2009, is accused of attacking the 19-year-old after meeting her at a nightclub in London's West End on September 4 last year, reports the Daily Express.

Tweed and his pal Anthony Davis denied two counts of rape at hearing in December. The attack is said to have taken place at Tweed's former home in Brandesbury Square, Repton Park, Woodford Green, east London.

According to prosecutors, Tweed met the woman at the Embassy club in Mayfair before inviting her back to the rented townhouse. The trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court, in east London, is expected to last up to three weeks.
