Indian Idol 7: Tajinder Singh Evicted; Revanth Tries To Woo Alia & Varun Dances With Malvika!
Tajinder Singh got evicted from Indian Idol 7 on March 4. Yesterday, Alia and Varun arrived on the sets of the show to promote their film Badrinath Ki Dulhania and was all praise for the singers.
The popular musical reality show on Sony, Indian Idol 7 has been entertaining the audiences with its superlative musical performances which leaves us wanting for more.
Last week, singer Richa Sharma and superstar Govinda were the special guests. RP got evicted from the show and Khuda Baksh's powerful performance was appreciated by the judges and he won the 'performer of the day' title. Read on to know more...
Tribute To The Lyricists
On Saturday's episode (March 4), the top 6 contestants paid tribute to lyricists Shailendra, Gulzar and poet Sahir Ludhianvi. The special guest of the evening was renowned poet Dr. Kumar Vishwas.
Mohit & Rohit's Performance
The evening began with Mohit's performance, who sang Kabhie Kabhie'. His performace was lauded by Sonu Nigam who praised him for bringing his own variation to the song. Next came, Rohit who sang 'Zindagi Ka Saath'.
Judges Impressed
Malvika's performance on 'Ajeeb Daastan Hai Yeh', Khuda Baksh's 'Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai', Tajinder's 'Ae Zindagi' and Revanth's 'Aane Wala Pal' managed to impressed the judges.
Tajinder Singh Evicted
The 'Faisle Ki Raat' episode came as a shocker to many as Malvika and Tajinder were anounced as the bottom two contestants. Much to everyone's shock, Tajinder Singh was evicted and couldn't make it to the top 5.
Alia Bhatt & Varun Dhawan Promote BKD
Yesterday (March 5), Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan visited the sets of the show to promote their upcoming film, Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The contestants sang Varun and Alia's hit numbers, much to their delight.
Anu Malik, Varun & Alia
The highlight of the episode was when Varun recreated the famous Salman Khan's song and performed a towel dance along with Alia on 'Jeene Ke He Chaar Din', while Anu Malik sang the song.
Revanth Tries To Woo Alia
Reventh crooned the song 'Jeena Jeena' and Varun was all praises for the singer. Later, Revanth, who is a self-confessed fan of Alia, asked her join him on the stage. Alia sang a few lines of 'Samjhawan', much to everyone's surprise.
Khuda Baksh's Proposal For Alia
Upon seeing this, Farah Khan asked a shy Khuda Baksh to take some tips from Revanth. Varun decided to help the singer in wooing Alia. He taught him a few dialogues from his upcoming film and asked him to propose Alia and the actress was in awe of him.
PVNS Rohit's energitic performance on Locha-E-Ulfat was loved by the judges and the special guests. Alia Bhatt went on to praise the singer and Varun even told that he loved the originality, which every contestant brought into the song.
The memorable moment of the evening was when, Mohit sang the song 'Mai Teri Chunariya', which left everyone in tears. The song made Sonu Nigam, very emotional who recalled his late mother. Mohit's mother, Meenakshi arrived on the stage to bless her beloved son.
The last contestant of the day, Malvika crooned 'Bolna', which was loved by everyone. Varun joined the singer on stage to perform a typical dance 'Kuthu', but ended up ripping his trousers, which became a highlight of the fun-filled episode.
