Excitement!
Expectation!
Belief!
is
what
one
got
to
see
on
the
faces
of
people
who
were
eagerly
waiting
outside
the
theatre
to
watch
the
recent
Aamir
Khan's
production,
Delhi
Belly.
When
its
Aamir's
film,
each
Bollywood
buff
is
sure
that
the
film
will
be
different.
During
the
show,
one
can
hear
the
continuous
eruption
of
laughter
in
the
hall.
Delhi
Belly
successfully
managed
to
deliver
grin
faces
out
of
the
theatres.
While
the
youngsters
loved
the
attitude
that
the
film
carried,
there
were
others
(of
course
who
are
no
more
young)
who
preferred
to
rather
flush
the
'shit'
down
the
commode.
Exactly
like
the
film
critics,
who
gave
divergent
views
on
the
film,
the
usual
Bollywood
buffs
also
managed
to
pin
point
their
likes
and
dislikes
for
Delhi
Belly.
While
some
felt
that
the
dialogues
and
the
music
worked
for
Delhi
Belly,
a
few
reasoned
that
the
fresh
faces
in
the
film
(Imran
Khan,
Vir
Das,
Kunaal
Roy
Kapur,
Poorna
Jagannathan,
Shenaz
Treasurywala)
pumped
in
the
uniqueness.
Agreeing
with
some
and
disagreeing
with
a
few,
lets
jot
down
'what
worked'
and
'what
didn't
work'
in
Delhi
Belly
for
the
audience.
Here
comes
the
VIEWER'S
VERDICT.
Mayuri
Ingrole,
a
big
movie
buff
reasoned
that
Delhi
Belly
had
nothing
new
to
offer
as
far
as
the
story
line
was
concerned.
The
film
solely
worked
because
of
the
dialogues
and
the
fresh
star
cast,
she
explained.
The
usage
of
songs
as
the
background
track
during
the
scenes
impressed
this
young
lady
a
lot.
Giving
the
same
kind
of
views,
Ghanshyam,
another
movie
goer,
accepted
that
the
dialogues
worked
for
him
in
Delhi
Belly.
Having
somewhat
the
same
view
another
Aamir
Khan
productions
fan,
Shradha
Mohanty
listed
her
likes
and
dislikes
in
the
film,
“There
wasn't
anything
GREAT
about
the
movie
in
particular,
except
the
tag
of
Aamir
Khan
productions.
Use
of
lewd
language
is
something
that
will
make
it
a
hit
among
teenagers.
Not
to
mention
the
original
sound
tracks,
which
are
a
huge
crowd
puller.
Apart
from
that,
I
appreciate
the
variety
of
movies
that
AK
Production
brings
to
the
table."
Talking
about
the
'diamond'
plot
in
the
film,
Somesh
Kumar
thought
it
didn't
prove
to
be
a
very
strong
note
in
the
plot.
However,
he
calls
Delhi
Belly
a
good
movie
with
everyone
playing
their
parts
well
in
humble
appetite.
“I
have
seen
the
movie
in
hinglish
but
I
imagine
the
Hindi
one
to
be
better
as
it
will
reflect
the
true
essence
of
Delhi
lingo.
Overall
a
much
better
movie
for
laughs
where
the
jokes
are
not
lame
and
redundant," concluded
Mr.
Kumar.
An
Imran
Khan
fan,
Neha
Mitra
managed
to
watch
Delhi
Belly
on
Friday
itself.
She
thinks
that
the
film
was
done
brilliantly.
“Imran
Khan,
for
a
change,
has
done
a
good
job,"
she
told,
equally
appreciating
the
work
of
Kunaal
Roy
Kapur
and
Vir
Das.
Talking
about
something
new
attempted
in
a
Bollywood
commercial
film
Neha
viewed,
“the
typical
new
age
lingo
is
something
that
the
youth
of
today
can
easily
connect
with."
