A
Scientist,
Dr
Ramanujam,
(Paintal)
is
working
on
a
secret
Artificial
Intelligence
chip,
which
an
evil
goon,
Mr
X
wishes
to
acquire.
He
sends
his
henchmen
Girgit
(Navneen
Prabhakar)
and
Diana
(Delna
Mody)
to
steal
the
chip,
but
Dr
Ramanujam
manages
to
escape
with
it
and
puts
it
in
a
car.
The
car
then
gets
it"s
own
mind
and
starts
playing
tricks
on
his
new
owner
and
the
people
around
him
until
it
gets
a
new
owner
in
the
form
of
Rahul
(Gaurav
Bajaj)
and
his
elder
brother
and
his
wife.
Rahul
is
an
automobile
engineer
and
loves
cars.
He
often
helps
everybody
in
the
neighborhood
including
Mrs.
Dadabhoy,
the
Parsi
neighbour
(Daisy
Irani).
Rahul
falls
in
love
with
Pooja
(Nina
Sarkar)
a
girl
who
lives
in
the
same
vicinity
but
invites
the
wrath
of
the
rich
kids
around.
They
have
a
tussel
but
ultimately
the
car,
which
Rahul
names
Smarty,
helps
him
get
his
true
love
as
well
as
capture
the
evil
goons.
What
follows
is
a
series
of
fun
filled
events
that
make
Smarty
the
star
attraction.
Director
Savin
Tuscano
keeps
the
proceedings
light
and
aims
to
entertain
the
kids.
While
he
succeeds
in
some
parts
the
rest
he
doesn"t
because
one
has
seen
such
antics
in
films
like
the
Herbie
series
and
Abbas
Mustan"s
Tarzan
the
Wonder
Car
(2004).
Gaurav
Bajaj
who
earlier
debuted
with
Phir
Kabhi
does
a
fair
job.
Nina
Sarkar
is
impressive
in
her
debut
role.
Veteran
actors
like
Paintal
and
Daisy
Irani
have
been
literally
wasted
in
the
movie.
Ace
stand
up
comedian
Naveen
Prabhakar
playing
the
comic
goon
Girgit
and
Delna
Mody
who
plays
Diana
the
female
villain
succeed
in
deriving
a
few
laughs.
While
the
film
does
bring
back
the
memory
of
Abbas
Mustan"s
Tarzan
the
Wonder
Car
made
in
2004,
it
does
hold
some
appeal
for
children.
Let
them
watch
it
if
they
have
nothing
else
to
do.
