Edward
Norton
is
well
known
for
researching
his
roles
to
the
last
detail.
In
his
upcoming
movie
Stone,
the
famous
American
actor
plays
the
role
of
a
jail
inmate.
He
wanted
to
give
a
real
look
to
his
character
so
he
went
for
a
new
hairstyle.
The
new
thriller
Stone
is
based
on
a
prisoner
(played
by
Norton),
who
tries
to
fool
his
parole
officer
(Robert
DeNiro).
The
actor
wanted
to
portray
his
role
perfectly
so
he
decided
to
get
a
new
hairstyle
for
the
look.
Most
of
the
US
prisoners
sport
cornrows
hairstyle,
which
is
a
series
of
thin
braided
hair
running
down
the
scalp.
This
hairstyle
is
very
easy
to
maintain
so
it
is
a
huge
hit
among
the
jail
inmates.
Edward
told
the
reporters,
“First
off
the
cornrows
were
real.
But
there
weren"t
any
hairstylists
in
Hollywood
who
could
do
cornrows
properly,
so
we
found
a
lady
called
Crystal
from
Detroit
who
does
a
nice
clean
set
of
rows."
The
41-year
old
actor
said
that
he
really
enjoyed
researching
for
his
role
because
it
gave
him
time
to
find
out
the
inner
workings
of
the
mind
of
convicts.
He
said
“Just
the
couple
of
weeks
I
got
to
sit
around
in
this
prison
and
talk
to
these
guys
who
are
imprisoned,
it
was
a
revelation
for
me,
and
it
was
a
hugely
memorable
experience.
I
love
that
part
every
time."
