She is not a feminist
Shailene got into a lot of criticism when she said that she is not a feminist. "My biggest thing is really sisterhood more than feminism," she told in an interview. "I don't know how we as women expect men to respect us because we don't even seem to respect each other. There's so much jealousy, so much comparison and envy...'This girl did this to me, and that girl did that to me'. It's just so silly and heartbreaking in a way," added the Insurgent actress.
Her role in The Amazing Spider-Man
She had a small role in the superhit movie, however, it was deleted later. She said, "For a few hours it was literally like, 'Oh, my God, was I awful? Why did they cut me? What are people going to think?'" But then she felt better about it the next day. She said, "I woke up the next morning and I was like, 'Okay, it makes total sense'. I'm a pretty spiritual person, so I can just sit back and trust that everything happens for a reason, even if my ego doesn't like it."
