Edward
Christopher
Sheeran
popularly
known
as
Ed
Sheeran
said
that,
the
song
he
had
actually
penned
down
for
the
young
Grammy-winning
popstar
Justin
Bieber,
titled
"Love
yourself," would
have
actually
suited
Rihanna.
Talking
about
the
song,
Ed
Sheeran
said,
the
song
had
been
actually
composed
for
Justin
Bieber.
"It's
his
song,
it's
not
my
song...
I've
written
a
bunch
of
songs
I
don't
sing.
If
you
like
the
way
you
look
that
much/
Oh,
baby
you
should
go
and
f--k
yourself."
Sheeran
said,
the
song
would
have
suited
Rihanna
more,
"Hearing
Rihanna...
coming
in
with
a
bit
of
that
swag...
and
Rihanna
could
get
away
with
saying
'you
should
go
and
f--k
yourself,'
in
my
mind
anyway."
Sheeran
also
said
that
he
didn't
think
much
while
composing
the
song
and
he
had
no
intention
to
put
out
"Shape
of
You" as
a
single
track.
"It
kind
of
came
at
a
Zeitgeist
time
for
his
career,
where
he
had
fallen
out
of
grace
with
the
public,
and
he
had
this
comeback
song
that
was
quite
grown
up,
I
was
like,
'I
don't
think
it's
that
much
of
a
hit.'
I
really
don't
know
what
a
hit
is
and
what
isn't,"
said
Sheeran.
"In
my
mind,
if
I
connect
with
a
song
from
a
heart
level,
then
it
must
be
a
hit,
but
that
isn't
always
like
the
case." The
singer
added.
