Prime
Minister
HD
Deve
Gowda
has
said
that
Puneet
Rajkumar"s
movie
Prithvi
clearly
depicts
the
ongoing
corruption
and
mining
lobby
in
Bellary
district
and
like
the
movie
Bhoothayana
Maga
Ayyu,
it
has
also
a
good
message.
The
JD(S)
supremo
appreciated
actor
Puneet
Rajkumar,
who
plays
strict
officer
in
the
film,
Producer
Soorappa
Babu
and
director
Jacob
Verghese"s
bold
attempt
to
bring
such
a
serious
subject
like
illegal
mining
and
corruption
in
Bellary.
The
JD(S)
supremo
spoke
to
the
media
after
watching
the
movie
Prithvi
at
Renukamba
Mini
Theatre
at
Malleshwaram
in
Bangalore
on
Saturday
(May
01).
HD
Deve
Gowda
said,
“Prithvi
clearly
depicts
the
ongoing
corruption
and
mining
lobby
in
Bellary
district.
Like
the
movie
Bhoothayyana
Maga
Ayyu,
it
has
also
a
good
message
to
the
public."
He
added,
“I
have
been
pressing
both
state
and
central
Governments
to
take
action
against
this
illegal
mining.
Now,
the
Kannada
audience
will
understand
the
consequence
in
Bellary
after
watching
this
movie.
It
should
be
watched
by
all
the
politicians
and
DCs
and
get
inspiration
from
it.
Mine
lords
are
looting
the
natural
resources
of
our
state.
And
these
rascals
should
be
punished.
I"m
going
to
raise
this
issue
in
the
parliament
in
future."
Meanwhile,
Soorappa
Babu,
who
was
present
on
the
occasion,
thanked
HD

Gowda
for
watching
the
movie.
The
producer
said,
“I
don"t
belong
to
any
political
party
and
there
is
not
political
interest
in
the
film.
It
is
just
an
attempt
to
depict
the
existing
conditions
in
Bellary.
I
haven"t
faced
any
force
or
trouble
during
its
shooting
in
Bellary."
It
should
be
noted
that
the
Ex-Prime

had
watched

by
his
son,

of
Karnataka,
HD

After
seven
years,
he
has
watched
this
movie
just
because
it
criticises
the
illegal
mining
in
Bellary.
However,
a
special
screening
of
Prithvi
was
organized
to
all
JD(S)
