National
Film

will
be
screened
in
International
Film
Festival
of
India
(IFFI).
The
festival
is
scheduled
to
be
held
in
Goa,
in
November.
Bharath
Stores
directed
by
P
Sheshadri
mainly
highlights
the
adverse
effect
of
globalisation
on
the
petty
shop
owners.
It
also
shows
the
mall
cultures,
which
is
directly
affecting
the
family
profession
of
India.
Veteran
actor
HG
Dattatreya
aka
Dattanna,
who
played
the
role
of
Govinda
Shetty
(a
petty
shop
owner),
won
the
Best
Actor
Award
at
Fiji
International
Film
Festival,
which
was
held
in
September.
Apart
from
Bharath
Stores,
the
list
of
the
movies
that
is
nominated
for
screening
include
Baaga
Beach,
The
Coffee
Maker,
Bhaag
Milkha
Bhaag,
Ship
Of
Thesus,
Pan
Singh
Tomar
and
other
25
movies.
It
is
said
that
the
director
Sheshadri
was
impressed
with
the
Central
government's
decision
of
allowing
the
Foreign
Direct
Investment
(FDI).
He
had
cleared,
"Bharath
Stores
traces
the
life
of
a
petty
shop
owner.
It
only
highlights
the
pros
and
cons
of
FDI,
without
passing
any
judgment."

in
pivotal
roles.
