Challenging
star
Darshan
Tugudeep
starrer
movie
Abhay
has
hit
the
screens
without
much
fanfare.
Director
Mahesh
Babu
has
joined
hands
with
the
actor
for
the
first
time.
Abhay
has
been
produced
by
Babu
Reddy
under
the
banner
Niteen
Production.
The
movie
Abhay
has
a
very
simple
story
and
screenplay.
Telugu
writer
Janardhan
Maharshi
has
written
story,
screenplay
and
dialogues
for
it.
Bindaas,
Bombaat
Maharshi
is
known
for
rehashing
successful
Telugu
movies.
Even
for
the
movie
Abhay,
he
seems
to
have
rehashed
the
story
of
Telugu
movie
Aata,
featuring
Siddharth-Ileana.
Abhay
is
a
love-cum-action
thriller
with
little
sentiment.
Darhsan"s
performance
is
the
main
highlight
of
the
movie.
V
Harikrishna"s
music,
Om
Prakash"s
comedy
and
Ramesh
Babu"s
camera
work
contribute
very
little
in
making
the
movie
interesting.
Abhay
(Darshan)
is
a
courageous
youngster.
He
meets
Arati
(Aarti
Thakur)
on
a
flight
to
Amsterdam
and
falls
in
love
with
her.
When
he
expresses
his
love,
she
reveals
that
she
has
already
been
engaged
to
a
person
who
is
a
rapist.
She
also
loves
him.
In
order
to
get
him,
she
reveals
all
the
secrets
of
the
villain"s
gang.
What
happens
next
will
form
the
rest
of
the
story.
As
usual,
Challenging
star
Darshan
comes
out
as
the
showman.
He
rocks
the
audience
in
action
and
fight
sequences
with
his
superb
acting.
Mrs.
India
World
2006,
actress
Aarti
Thakur
looks
very
descent
and
she
excels
in
her
role.
Om
Prakash"s
comedy
is
another
plus
point
of
the
movie.
V
Harikrishna,
who
rose
to
No
1
position
earlier
this
year,
seems
to
be
going
down
in
life
with
his
average
music
score.
His
music
in
the
movie
has
utterly
failed
to
reach
the
expectations
of
the
audiences.
Songs
like
'Baanu
Kempaadante…" and
'Yammammo
Yammammo…"
are
good
to
listen.
Ramesh
Babu"s
camera
work
in
the
songs
like
'Abhay
is
Crazy…"
and
Neene
Kane
is
worst.
However,
choreography
is
excellent.
Abhay
is
a
complete
movie
with
all
masala
entertainers,
but
it
seems
to
be
meant
for
Darshan
fans
and
action
lovers.
