Chattambinadu slated to be a Christmas release

Malayalam movie Chattambinadu by filmmaker Shafi with Mammootty as the lead hero will release this Christmas in all the major theatres in Kerala. The shooting is presently progressing rapidly in Pazhani. The movie like Rajamanikyam is special for its slang. While the former had the Thiruvananthapuram slang, this one will have the Malayalam slang tinged with a Kannada diction and accent.

Lakshmi Rai, Siddique, Manoj K Jayan, Vijayraghavan, Salimkumar, Cochin Haneefa, Vijayaraghavan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, T G Ravi, Shivaji Guruvayoor, Mydhili and Meenakshi are others who play a prominent role in this movie. The superstar will come across in this movie with a clean shaven look and clad in white attire evocative of a Crorepati Goonda leader Veerendra Mallayya from a township of Karnataka. Produced by Naushad and Anto Joseph, Chattambinadu will be released by Mammootty"s Playhouse.
