Popular Tamil actor Arya, who played a crucial role in the Mammootty starrer The Great Father, is a happy man with the film doing an extrordinary business at the box office.
Apart from being a part of the star cast of the film, Arya is also one among the producers of the movie. The Great Father has been jointly produced by Shaji Nadesan, Santhosh Sivan, Prithviraj and Arya under the banner August Cinema.
In a recent interview given to Club FM, Arya confirmed that the film has crossed the 20-Crore mark at the box office. He also stated that the makers had wished for the movie to reach a wider section of audiences at the time of filming itself.
When asked on his expectations and his desire regarding the total box office collections of The Great Father, Arya stated that he wished for the film to do a business of 200 Crores.
Arya plays the role of a cop named Andrews Eapen in the movie. The actor has won a lot of praises for his performance in the movie and his combination scenes with Mammootty have been much applauded. The Great Father is the actor's third film in Malayalam.
