Mohanlal's
much
anticipated
movie
Mr
Fraud,
directed
by
B
Unnikrishnan,
after
facing
a
lot
of
hurdled
finally
hit
the
theaters
last
Saturday
(May
17).
But,
the
movie
did
not
turn
well
as
expected
instead,
it
has
turned
out
to
be
a
fried
one
in
all
sense.
Mr
Fraud
is
a
story
of
a
man
with
many
faces.
Mohanlal
who
plays
the
lead
role
in
the
film
does
not
have
a
name
but,
has
different
faces.
He
is
a
hitech
robber
without
a
name
but,
with
many
faces,
a
con
man
who
is
on
his
mission
to
loot
a
royal
family,
which
has
billions
of
assets.
But,
the
contradcitory
factor
is
that
the
family
members
are
at
odds
when
they
wanted
to
divide
the
wealth.
Only
Rajasekhara
Varma
(Siddique)
and
his
daughetr
Saraswathi
(Mia)
have
kept
themselves
away
from
this
dispute.
An
ex-MLA
and
communist
Varma
wants
the
full
wealth
on
his
own.
At
this
circumstances
enters
the
conman
enters
in
a
new
avatar
and
makes
himself
enter
into
the
family
with
some
tricks.
How
he
manages
to
accomplish
his
task
without
letting
anyone
identify
him
forms
the
rest
of
the
story,
Performances
The
main
highlisht
of
the
film
is
none
other
than
Mohanlal
himself.
He
has
done
variety
of
roles
in
a
single
film
right
from
a
rap
singer
to
an
ordinary
man.
He
just
rocks.
He
looks
cool
and
impressive
in
his
salt
and
pepper
look.
Siddique
too
has
given
a
decent
performance.
Mia
looks
good
and
has
performed
neatly.
Dev
Gill
as
the
villain
is
just
ok.
The
rest
of
the
cast
like
Vijay
Babu,
Vijayakumar,
Saikumar,
P
Balachandran,
Pallavi
Chandran
and
others
have
given
a
decent
performance.
Technical
Aspects
Cinematography
by
Satheesh
Kurup
is
impressive
and
catchy
at
times.
Songs
are
good
but,
felt
it
was
an
intrudence
inside
the
film.
BGM
by
Gopi
Sunder
was
good
at
places
while,
it
took
away
the
mood
at
places.
B
Unnikrishnan,
as
the
director
of
the
film
,
has
tried
to
use
the
best
of
Mohanlal
and
has
succeeded
in
it
but,
it
did
not
reach
the
expected
level
like
the
previous
outings.
Verdict
If
you
are
a
Mohanlal
fan
too,
you
might
feel
that
the
movie
could
have
been
better.
It
is
more
like
a
half
baked
movie
with
some
flaws
here
and
there.
Do
not
expect
much
from
this
Mr
Fraud.
