Siva, an ordinary aspirant from a middle-class family pursued his academics in the field of Engineering and Management for the interest of his parents. His inclination towards art and culture began much earlier, specifically during his college days. His comic timing, mimicry flair and stand-up comedy earned him a spot of a contestant in Vijay TV's reality show, Kalakka Povathu Yaaru. His exceptional performance helped Vijay TV realise his passion & Talent which facilitated a role of an anchor for a string of reality shows and award functions.

Siva being associated with Vijay TV for 8 years was already a household name since he had worked his way hard and climbed up the ladder by showing the world of Tamil cinema what he was capable of.

Entry into Cinema

Though he was casted as a lead character in his debut movie, Marina, and playing lead roles in movies such as Manam Kothi Paravai and Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga", it was his brief role in Dhanush Starrer 3 which earned him accolades and recognition on the silver screen.

Dhanush proved to be his lucky Mascot as Siva's subsequent venture under the former's production banner, Ethir Neechal went on to become a super hit and thereby setting a Hero platform to Siva Karthikeyan. It was the actor's next movie, Varutha Padatha Valibar Sangam, which catapulted his stardom.

Rajini Murugan's opening at the Box Office dazed some of the Box Office pundits as the numbers were generally generated by A-Star level heroes. Within a span of 6 movies, Siva had gained good control over the Box Office with Rajini Murugan. The movie's successful BO opening could be attributed to its breezy and entertaining trailer and the movie title.

Strong Zone and Fanbase

Siva's strong hold is his fan base which vastly comprises of Kids and Family Audience. Even an average content based movie can ensure decent collections in its overall run only if the family audience visits theatres. Siva has been successful in pulling them to theatres.

His next venture is touted to be the most massive flick in his career as it boasts of an ensemble star cast of Nayantara, Prakash Raj, Sneha, Rohini, RJ Balaji, Thambi Ramaiah, Yogi Babu, and Sathish. The yet to be titled movie will be directed by Thani Oruvan fame Mohan Raja.
