As
we
reported
earlier,
Rajat
Tokas
is
back,
yet
again
in
a
new
avatar.
This
time
he
will
be
seen
playing
the
role
of
Chandragupta
Maurya,
in
the
upcoming
show
Chandra
Nandini.
Recently,
the
promos
were
released,
revealing
both
Rajat
and
Shweta
Basu's
look.
Shweta
will
be
seen
playing
the
role
of
Princess
Nandini.
At
the
launch
of
the
show,
Rajat
revealed
to
an
entertainment
portal,
why
he
chooses
to
stay
away
from
media
and
fans.
He
said
that
he
wants
the
people
to
know
him
for
his
characters.
He
also
refused
to
accept
himself
as
celebrity!
The
actor
was
quoted
by
the
entertainment
portal
as
saying,
"I
want
the
world
to
recall
me
by
my
various
characters.
No
one
knows
Rajat
Tokas
and
he
is
not
important
enough
to
be
remembered.
But
each
of
my
character
should
leave
a
mark
on
my
audience's
mind.
And
that
is
what
I
intend
to
do.
This
is
the
reason
why
I
choose
to
stay
away
from
interacting
with
media
and
my
viewers."
He
further
added,
"I
am
just
an
actor
and
not
a
celebrity.
I
am
doing
my
job
as
any
ordinary
person
and
I
do
not
find
the
need
to
make
a
hue
and
cry
about
it."
Rajat
Tokas
became
household
name
with
his
role
of
Jalaluddin
Mohammad
Akbar/Akbar
from
the
show
Jodha
Akbar.
He
was
previously
seen
in
Naagin
Season
1
as
Nevla/Kabir,
which
was
a
negative
role.
All
the
three
shows
-

Akbar,

Nandini
