Shadow is not set in mafia backdrop: Venkatesh

Victory Venkatesh's stylish look in his upcoming movie Shadow has created lot of curiosity about its story. It was rumoured earlier that the Telugu actor is playing a don in the film, which has the mafia backdrop. But Venky has slammed the reports stating that they are just baseless rumours and his next outing is a stylish action entertainer.

Talking to a movie portal, Venkatesh says that the story of Shadow is not set in the mafia backdrop and he is not playing a don in it. It is a revenge drama and it is going to be a stylish action entertainer, which has the right mix of action, sentiment and comedy. Meanwhile, he adds that he is not essaying the role of a don. Instead, he is playing a simple guy, who is searching for someone in retaliation.

However, Shadow is one of the most-awaited Telugu movies of 2013. The film is directed by Meher Ramesh and produced by Paruchuri Kireeti under the banner of United Movies. Venkatesh, Tapasee, Srikanth and Madhurima are playing the lead roles in it. S Thaman has composed music for the flick, which was released recently and has been received well by the music lovers. The film is slated to release worldwide in the last week of April 2013.
