Unexpectedly Hit Bollywood Movies
A lot of Bollywood movies released in the recent past have broken the prejudice and proved that star power or too much unwanted promotions is not required to make a movie super hit. For example, some of the cult movies like Ishqiya and Gangs of Wasseypur series have proved that the story of the film plays an important role in keeping the audience hooked to the movie and also win their hearts.
There are many such unexpected hit movies in Bollywood that have taken a lot of people by surprise. For example, adult comedy film Grand Masti which released in 2013 is one of the hit movies of the year which was a surprise. Masti was an average hit, but the sequel which has double adult comedy and double meaning jokes won the hearts of the audience at it was declared a hit movie.
Similarly, there are certain unexpected hit movies in Bollywood seen in the recent years. The musical drama Aashiqui 2 which became a blockbuster hit was a surprise! With debutants Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, the movie was expected to be an average as love stories were not ruling the industry trends. However, the musical drama broke the trend and was declared a super hit. Even the songs have grabbed many awards this year.

The hit musical drama marked the debut of Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. The movie was expected to be an average as love stories were not ruling the industry trends. However, the musical drama broke the trend and was declared a super hit.
Ragini MMS 2
Ragini MMS was based on a real-life story of Deepika. However, the sequel to the horror movie which had no real-story to an advantage was a hit. Thanks to the adult film star Sunny Leone who added sensuality which was a treat to the eyes of the viewer.
Shootout At Wadala
The 2007 crime thriller film Shootout at Lokhandwala was a hit. However, the sequel which starred John Abraham was also unexpectedly hit Bollywood movie.

The movie had the common face Sonakshi Sinha and Shahid Kapoor. It was an unexpected hit for Shahid as well!
Grand Masti
The adult comedy which is a sequel to Masti is another surprise hit Bollywood movie. It has no wonder boosted the career of falling Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani.

The movie had a different story which was considered bold for the Indian cinema. Moreover it had a new star cast. But the movie was a super hit!
ABCD
Everyone felt that street dancing and other dancing movies are not meant for Bollywood. However, Prabhu Deva's and Remo's movie broke the prejudice. A sequel starring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor is already in the process.
Jolly LLB
A simple movie with a strong message had Arshad Warsi in lead role. Arshad who has not given hits without playing secondary roles surprised everyone with this National Film Award movie.

The 2013 Indian coming of age comedy film had a fresh star cast which to our surprise won many hearts and the movie was unexpectedly a hit.
