Reportedly, Haathi Mere Saathi is inspired by the unfortunate event of humans encroaching upon the elephant corridor in Kaziranga, Assam. Rana Daggubati plays a man who dedicates most of his life living in the jungle, with the sole purpose of protecting wild animals.
The film also stars South actor Vishnu Vishal, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Zoya Hussain. Haathi Mere Saathi will also be releasing as Kaadan in Tamil and Aranya in Telugu on April 2, 2020.
