Nag,
who
passed
away
in
September
1990,
was
a
veteran
director
and
actor
of
Kannada
film
industry,
but
sadly
nothing
has
been
done
to
remember
him.
Here
is
an
effort
being
made
in
that
direction.
Namana
Films
and
Orion
Pictures
is
making
an
effort
to
remember
him
by
using
animation
technology.
Namana
Films
and
Orion
Pictures
are
jointly
producing
a
movie
called
Khaaravela,
which
features
an
animated
form
of
Shankar
Nag.
The
film
is
about
Cholas
dynasty
and
it
dedicates
40
minutes
portion
to
feature
Shankar
Nag.
The
remaining
portion
of
the
film
will
deal
with
other
characters.
Director
Purandar
held
a
screening
of
the
preview
of
the
movie
Khaaravela
for
the
media
at
Renukamba
Digital
theatre
on
Monday
evening,
18th
April.
The
movie
is
being
made
with
a
whopping
amount
of
Rs.
5
crores
and
animation
and
usual
format
of
film
making
are
being
used
for
its
making.
However,
Khaaravela
is
being
produced
by
Anaji
Nagaraj,
Purandar,
KBS
Srihari,
BN
Nijalingappa
and
Abdul
Karim.
Arun
GV
Kumar
is
scoring
music
for
the
lyrics
of
Raqib
Alam
in
the
film.
The
movie
team
has
done
lot
of
research
before
starting
the
work
on
the
film.
The
team
aims
to
take
the
Kannada
films
to
greater
heights.
