All
is
not
well
between
actor
Prem
Kumar
and
filmmaker
Roopa
Iyer,
who
are
reportedly
not
in
talking
terms.
The
rift
between
the
two
has
become
clear
at
a
recent
press
conference
of
their
upcoming
film
Chandra,
which
is
slated
to
hit
screen
on
June
27.
With
barely
10
days
left
for
the
release
of
the
movie,
the
controversy
brewing
in
the
Chandra
team
is
widely
being
debated
in
the
Gandhinagar
circles.
As
a
part
of
promotion
of
the
movie
Chandra,
Roopa
Iyer
held
a
press
conference
in
Bangalore
on
Monday.
Along
with
a
few
other
members
from
the
film
unit,
actress
Shriya
Saran
attended
the
event.
But
Prem
Kumar,
the
hero
of
the
film,
was
not
present,
which
set
many
tongues
wagging.
When
quizzed
about
his
absence
at
the
event,
the
filmmaker
could
not
give
a
clarification
on
the
issue.
But
talking
to
a
leading
movie
portal,
Prem
himself
has
answered
the
question
why
he
was
absent
at
the
press
conference
and
his
statement
has
shocked
many
in
the
industry.
The
actor
says
that
he
and
director
have
had
rift
much
before
the
press
meet.
Roopa
also
had
a
rift
with
Shriya.
But
she
has
invited
her
to
the
meet,
while
she
let
her
manager
to
call
him.
"If
she
can
call
Shriya
herself
why
not
me?" asks
Prem.
Another
factor
that
disappointed
Prem
the
most
is
that
the
posters
of
Chandra
have
more
space
for
actor
Yash,
who
has
just
made
a
guest
appearance
in
a
song
of
the
film.
After
knowing
this
fact
from
Yash,
Prem
asked
Roopa
Iyer,
who
reportedly
gave
an
arrogant
reply
that
she
would
do
whatever
she
wants
with
her
movie.
But
Prem
says
that
he
cannot
take
her
attitude
any
longer
as
he
does
not
want
to
spoil
his
image.
He
is
not
going
to
abandon
the
film
Chandra.
As
part
of
its
promotion,
he
has
already
given
several
interviews
to
TV
channels
and
newspapers.
He
adds
that
the
movie
is
good
and
he
would
take
necessary
steps
to
promote
it
well.
