In
2015,
the
maverick
film-maker
SS
Rajamouli
became
the
talk
of
the
town
when
Baahubali:
The
Beginning
opened
to
a
thunderous
response
at
the
box
office
and
redefined
the
tenets
of
Telugu
cinema.
Featuring
Prabhas
in
the
titular
role,
the
film
revolved
around
the
story
of
a
war
for
an
ancient
kingdom
and
clicked
with
the
audience
thanks
to
its
awesome
presentation.
Nearly
three
years
later,
Baahubali
2
hit
the
screens
and
became
a
blockbuster.
Now,
Baahubali
mania
is
set
to
grip
the
nation
again.
In
an
exciting
development,
Netflix
has
revealed
that
a
prequel
to
the
Baahubali
saga
is
in
the
works
and
would
be
released
soon.
Titled
Baabubali:
Before
The
Beginning,
it's
based
on
Anand
Neelakantan's
book,
The
Rise
of
Sivagami
and
is
going
to
feature
nine
episodes.
The
series
will
apparently
focus
on
the
politics
behind
Mahismati's
rise
to
prominence.
One
is
likely
to
get
a
clear
picture
about
Baahubali:
Before
The
Beginning
in
the
days
to
come.
Interestingly,
even
though
more
than
a
year
has
passed
since
the
release
of
Baahubali
2,
the
franchise
still
remains
a
craze
amongst
the
movie
buffs.
Some
time
ago,
SS
Rajamouli
had
said
that
he
received
a
warm
reception
in
Japan
thanks
to
the
popularity
of
the
Baahubali
saga.
"Thanks
to
#Baahubali,
we
had
a
chance
to
visit
many
countries.
But
Japan
became
our
most
favourite.
I
can't
ever
forget
the
reception
they
gave
us,
and
the
love
they
showered
on
us
and
our
film.
Incredible.
They
sent
me
home
with
lots
of
gift
packs.
We
just
started
unboxing
one
by
one
and
it
brought
a
wide
smile
on
my
face
again.
Every
gift
we
got
and
every
art
made
was
so
unique
and
amazing.
Thanks
for
all
your
efforts,
it
really
means
a
lot
to
us.
I
feel
truly
blessed.
Didn't
want
to
open
#Prabhas,
@Ranadaggubati's
gifts...
We
will
unbox
them
once
we
all
meet.
🙂
Thank
you
so
much
#Japan,"
(sic)
he
had
said.
We
sincerely
hope
that
Baahubali:
Before
The
Beginning
becomes
a
hit
too
and
gives
the
fans
a
reason
to
rejoice.
