Charmy
Kaur
was
going
through
a
lean
patch
with
no
project
on
hand,
after
she
started
accepting
woman-centric,
heroine-oriented
films.
Her
last
hit
was
Mantra.
After
that
she
had
neither
films
in
hand
nor
hits
to
her
credit.
Once
again,
she
joined
hands
with
Osho
Tulasiram,
who
had
produced
and
directed
Mantra.
Now,
they
are
joined
hands
for
Mangala.
Charmy
Kaur
kept
high
hopes
on
the
movie.
The
film
is
released
after
a
prolonged
gap
and
has
poured
water
on
her
hope
to
get
a
much-needed
break.
Read
on
for
Mangala
review.
Story:
Mangala
aka
Ammulu
(Charmy
Kaur)
loses
her
parents
in
a
fire
accident
and
in
a
bid
to
save
them,
their
servant
also
dies
in
the
accident.
So,
she
brings
up
her
servant"s
son
Subbu
(Subhash)
like
her
brother.
He
wants
to
become
a
film
hero,
but
while
going
for
auditions,
the
producer
sees
her
and
ropes
in
her
as
a
heroine.
Chinna
(Vijay
Sai)
is
a
big
fan
of
her
and
wants
to
gift
a
car
to
her.
His
father
(Pradeep
Rawat),
who
was
a
witch
arranges
him
the
money.
While
presenting
the
car,
Mangala
mistakes
some
other"s
hand,
as
of
Chinna
and
slaps
him.
Unable
to
bear
the
humiliation,
he
attempts
suicide.
Though
his
father
pleads
Mangala
to
visit
his
son
and
save
his
life,
she
could
not
do
because
of
her
busy
schedules.
Chinna
succumbs
to
the
poison
and
the
witch
decided
to
take
revenge
against
Mangala.
He
imposes
Sakochi
devil
on
Mangala.
what
happened
next
should
be
seen
on-screen.
Performance:
Charmy
Kaur
ha
done
her
best
in
showing
her
acting
capabilities.
She
has
given
perfect
facial
expressions.
However,
her
performance
in
the
shooting
episodes
evoked
laughter
instead
of
making
us
praise
the
heroine.
She
should
improve
her
voice
modulation
and
tone
down
the
high-decibel
yelling
on
the
screen.
Subhash,
as
a
trusted
servant,
has
done
justice
to
his
role.
Pradeep
Rawat,
though
appeared
in
a
few
scenes
has
fitted
the
bill
perfectly.
Other
artistes
like
Priya
as
Sadhvi,
Vijay
Sai
and
Pavala
Syamala
have
done
justice
to
their
roles.
Ram
Jagan
is
good
as
an
Aghora.
Technical: Camera
work
by
Sivendra
is
extraordinary.
Editing
by
Sreenu
is
okay
but
he
should
have
trimmed
the
second
half
by
around
40
minutes.
Music
by
Vishwa
is
okay.
Though,
it
was
boasted
that
the
'ice
ice...,'
song
would
become
a
big
hit,
the
audio
has
failed
to
impress
the
audiences.
When
it
comes
to
story,
screenplay
and
direction,
Osho
Tulasiram
has
failed
to
weave
a
good
story,
though
the
storyline
is
good.
The
screenplay
is
awful
as
the
director
has
failed
to
maintain
the
suspense
element.
The
director
has
failed
to
maintain
the
same
tempo.
Remarks:
Watch
the
film
at
your
own
risk
and
Charmy
Kaur"s
glamour
is
the
only
attraction
in
the
film.

Kaur,
Subhash,
Pradeep
