Dishoom Box Office Predictions: John Abraham & Varun Dhawan Starrer To Have A Decent Opening

John Abraham, Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandes's Dishoom is hitting the screens tomorrow (July 29th). Directed by Rohit Dhawan, Dishoom is one of the most anticipated movies of the year.

According to some trade experts, Dishoom will have a decent opening at the box office. The movie is expected to get an opening of around 50% and its business can improve with positive reviews and good word of mouth.

Reportedly, the film is releasing over 2600 screens in India and about 500 screens overseas. The production cost of the movie is around 58 Crores. With 12 Crores spent on advertising, promotions and publicity, the total budget of the movie is around 70 Crores.

The plus point for Dishoom is that the movie has no competition from any other film at the box office as Sultan is through with its run and Madaari failed to create any magic.

Talking about the genre of Dishoom, Rohit Dhawan revealed, "There is no parallel with Bond films (James Bond films). It is actually like a buddy-cop film. It harps back to genre of Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Andar Bahar, Bad Boys. The film is based in this world. There is not too much slapstick comedy in the film. There is humour in the film. There is a light hearted humour in the film backed by action.''

The music for Dishoom is composed by Pritam while the music rights have been acquired by T-Series.
