Manoj Kumar Has A Successful Surgery On His Birthday

Veteran actor Manoj Kumar successfully underwent a gall bladder surgery on Wednesday, July 24. The actor-director who was admitted in the Kokilaben Hospital two days back is now shifted out of the operation theatre. He is doing better at the moment but the doctors have advised him to stay in the hospital for two more days.

Interestingly, his birthday coincides with the day of the surgery. The actor who turned 76 today can now celebrate after a successful surgery. Manoj Kumar's surgery began at 8 am on July 24. He was hospitalised because of severe pain in his gal bladder. Later it was informed that the actor has an inflamed gall bladder with stones.

Manoj Kumar is often referred to as 'Mr Bharat Kumar' because he has made and acted in quite a few movies based on the theme of patriotism. He is well known for his films like Hariyali Aur Raasta, Woh Kaun Thi, Himalaya Ki God Mein, Do Badan, Upkar, Patthar Ke Sanam, Neel Kamal, Purab Aur Paschim and Roti Kapda Aur Makaan, Kranti.

This actor-director has been honoured with the Padma Shri award by the Government of India for his quality work on patriotism. Apart from this, he also received many more national awards.
