Dil Dhadakne Do Actress, Ridhima Sud Tried To Con Zoya Akhtar
Ridhima Sud, who's getting praise from the global film fraternity for playing the super girly and cute Noorie Sood in Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do apparently tried to con the director into thinking that she was a real life heiress!
The young lass would behave like Noorie even off camera to stay in character, including walking around in dresses when not shooting.
A Delhi girl of Lahori lineage, Ridhima actually prefers to be in Patiala-Kurtis or jeans-tshirt when not working but she thought if she convinced Zoya that she was a real life counterpart of Noorie, then she would let her improvise more on camera.
Well, Ridhima Sud has got a double-major in political science and economics from the New York University (NYU), USA. She had even landed a job at the Wall Street but she left it all for the role of Noorie Sood in Dil Dhadakne Do.
"When you are passionate about something, you can rationalise and see the positive in everything. I have a solid education that helped me gain self-confidence, and shaped me into an independent thinker," she says.

Hollywood Experience
Ridhima has been a part of the production team of the Hollywood film Eat, Pray, Love and has also worked in the Oscar-nominated Ballad of Rustom.
Acting Lessons
She has taken acting lessons from none other than Leonardo Dicaprio's acting coach Larry Moss and the actress lucky enough to have a classmate like Tobey Maguire.
On Zoya
"She was always on top of my list of directors to work with, and it's literally a dream debut. She is very intuitive, and maybe, it's a female director thing, but sometimes she'll know why you're doing something even when you don't know it yourself. She's quick to identify intention, and guides the actor accordingly," says Ridhima.
Education
Ridhima Sud has done a double-major in political science and economics from the New York University (NYU), USA.

She has already signed a three film deal with Shoojit Sircar and John Abraham's co-production.

Her Dad's Reaction
When I told my parents that I wanted to act, they thought I was joking. My dad was like, 'You want to go to Europe for summers or buy an expensive bag or anything else?' He was literally throwing money at me to stop me. He was like, 'such an amazing life you have beta, why do you want to struggle and ghisso your chappals in Bollywood.' But at the back of their minds, they knew it was in my genes.
On Working With DDD Cast
Seeing such senior people work is like learning new things every day. You just watch them perform and see how effortless they are. From work ethics to how they handle a certain character, I learnt it all. It was like a crash course in Bollywood. Log jo 10 saal mein seekhte hain, I learnt that in three months. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world," she said.
