The
renowned
Hollywood
actress
Natalie
Portman,
whose
magnificent
performance
in
the
movie
titled
Jackie,
in
the
role
of
Jackie
Kennedy,
not
only
won
major
award
nominations
this
year
but
was
also
critically
appreciated
across
the
globe.
However
the
actress,
despite
the

fame,
is
not
happy
with
the
prevailing
gender
pay
gap
in
Hollywood
film
industry
and
in
a
recent
interview
she
reveals
that
her
co-star
Ashton
Kutcher
in
the
2011
movie
No
Strings
Attached,
was
paid
quite
a
high
amount
of
fees
than
she
had
received.
"Ashton
Kutcher
was
paid
three
times
as
much
as
me
on
No
Strings
Attached," Said
Natalie
Portman.
"I
knew
and
I
went
along
with
it
because
there's
this
thing
with
'quotes'
in
Hollywood.
His
was
three
times
higher
than
mine,
so
they
said
he
should
get
three
times
more.
I
wasn't
as
pissed
as
I
should
have
been." She
added.
"I
mean,
we
get
paid
a
lot,
so
it's
hard
to
complain,
but
the
disparity
is
crazy."
Portman
explained.
Portman
however,
feels
sorry
for
women
in
Hollywood
as
she
believes
the
pay
gap
in
Hollywood
is
more
when
compared
to
other
professions.
"Compared
to
men,
in
most
professions,
women
make
80
cents
to
the
dollar.
In
Hollywood,
we
are
making
30
cents
to
the
dollar." Natalie
Portman
stated
further.
