Pooja Gandhi To Play Veerappan's Wife Muthulakshmi

Kannada actress turned politician Pooja Gandhi, who is all set to make her comeback with Sandalwood's forthcoming film Abhinetri, has signed another project, where she will be playing a very controversial role. The film, which is tentatively titled as Muthulakshmi will deals with the story of Veerappan's wife Muthulakshmi. It will directed by debutant Jaggi, who is tight lipped about the story-line of the film. Beside playing the title role, Pooja Gandhi is also producing the film. Sources close to the makers said, "Director Jaggi was bowled over by Pooja Gandhi's role in Dandupalya, in which she played the role of serial killer Lakshmi. He decided Pooja is the only perfect choice in South film industry to essay this challenging role. Pooja Gandhi has also accepted the offer." Pooja is currently busy wrapping up the shooting of Thippajji Circle and awaiting the release of Abhinetri. In Abhinetri the actress is said to be playing the role of Kannada's ace actress Kalpana.
