grace
the
screens
this
Vishu
on
14th
April.
Directed
by
Rafi
Mecartin,
the
movie
has
cleared
censor
formalities
and
has
got
'U'
certificate
from
the
Regional
Censor
Board
in
Thiruvananthapuram.
The
cinema
is
said
to
be
releasing
in
more
than
100
theatres
across
Kerala.
China
Town
features
Mohanlal,
Jayaram,
Dileep,
Kavya
Madhavan,
Poonam
Bawja
and
Pradeep
Rawat
in
the
leads.
It
was
earlier
stated
to
hit
the
theatres
on
7th
April,
but
the
film's
release
was
postponed
to
14th
April
to
avoid
the
clash
with
Kerala
Assembly
Elections
to
be
held
on
13th
April.
Besides
direction,
Rafi
Mecartin
duo
has
also
penned
the
script
for
China
Town.
The
story
of
the
film
revolves
around
the
love
and
friendship
of
three
friends,
who
are
in
the
various
fields
of
life.
Dipasha,
Shankar,
Shanavas,
Jose,
Jagathi
Sreekumar,
Maya
Viswanath,
Suraj
Venjaramoodu,
Bindu
Asokan,
Lakshmi
and
Deepu
Karunakaran
are
in
the
supporting
roles.
China
Town
started
its
production
on
20
December
2010
and
the
shooting
has
been
held
in
Hyderabad,
Ooty,
Goa
and
Ernakulam.
Art
director
Boban
had
created
a
huge
set
at
Ramoji
Rao
Film
City,
Hyderabad
for
the
filming.
The
set
was
made
at
the
cost
of
Rs.35
lakhs,
which
is
one
of
the
costliest
sets
in
Malayalam
cinema.
Now,
it
should
been
seen
whether
the
film
would
impress
the
viewers
and
get
huge
amount
of
profits
to
the
producers.
