Asif Ali To Do Comic Role

Asif Ali, who has been getting typecasted with the angry young man roles, is planning to change his image with an out-and-out comic role. The actor will play a comical character in the upcoming movie Omanakuttante Sahasikathakal, directed by debutante Rohith V S. The movie, which is said to be a complete comedy entertainer, is penned by newcomer Sameer Abdul.

Asif Ali will play the title character Omanakuttan in the movie, which will have an equally important female lead. The heroine and rest of the cast is yet to be revealed. Omanakuttante Sahasikathakal will go on floors by November at various locations of Kochi and Mysore.

Asif says that he has no intentions to do the similar dark shaded roles in future. The actor states that he has decided to be choosy about the movies in future and will give prior importance to the script. His latest releases Sapthamashree Thaskaraha and Vellimoonga has earned rave reviews and is running successfully at theatres.

Asif Ali is currently filming for Mailanji Monjulla Veedu co-starring Jayaram, Kaniha and Meera Nandan. He will play a police constable in the upcoming movie Driver On Duty, for the first time in his career. The movie will have Abhirami and Janai Iyer in the female leads.
