Earlier,
we
had
reported
that
actor-director
SJ
Surya
is
in
talks
to
play
the
role
of
an
antagonist
in
Mahesh
Babu's
Tamil-Telugu
bilingual,
to
be
directed
by
AR
Murugadoss.
Now,
a
source
has
confirmed
that
the
Kushi
director
has
been
zeroed
in
to
play
the
villain
in
the
high
budget
entertainer.
"The
film
will
go
on
floors
from
late
June
or
early
July,
once
AR
Murugadoss
finishes
his
Hindi
project
'Akira'.
SJ
Surya
has
been
zeroed
in
to
play
the
villain,
talks
are
on
with
Parineeti
Chopra
to
play
the
female
lead," a
source
close
to
the
development
has
revealed.
Though
many
claim
that
Surya
will
soon
be
brought
on
board
officially,
sources
close
to
the
Iraivi
actor
have
said
that
Surya
will
have
to
sort
out
issues
pertaining
to
his
dates
as
he
has
already
started
working
on
his
next
directorial
venture.
"He
(SJ
Surya)
hasn't
been
officially
signed
it
yet.
Suryah
has
already
begun
work
on
his
next
directorial
venture,
and
hence,
feels
he
won't
have
time
to
be
part
of
this
project,"
a
source
has
said.
However,
it
is
to
be
seen
if
Murugadoss
can
make
subtle
changes
to
his
schedule
in
order
to
sign
in
Surya,
as
the
actor-director's
presence
in
the
film
will
bring
in
a
new
flavour.
Tipped
to
be
made
with
a
budget
of
85-90
Crore
rupees,
the
film
will
be
bankrolled
by
Tagore
Madhu
and
will
have
its
music
composed
by
Harris
Jayaraj.
Since
the
action-thriller
is
said
to
deal
with
sensitive
issues
with
respect
to
the
Indian
government
and
judicial
system,
expectations
are
sky-high
for
this
upcoming
bilingual.
Stay
tuned
for
more
updates
on
this
exciting
project.
