Directed by Muthyala Subbaiah, the film was a remake of a Malayalam film of the same name and did well at the box office. It also featured Rambha in the lead.

Released in 2006, Rakhi revolved around a simple young who loves his sister and is willing to go to any lengths to protect her. The film also highlighted how the hero is devastated when his sister is killed by her in-laws. Featuring the 'Young Tiger' Jr NTR in the lead, Rakhi did well at the box office and ran for 100 days in several theatres. It also featured Ileana and Charmme Kaur in the lead.

Arjun

Directed by Gunasekhar, Arjun revolved around how a loving brother saves his sister from her scheming in laws. Featuring Mahesh Babu and Keerthi Reddy in the lead, the film hit the screens in 2004 and did reasonably well at the box office. It received praise for its beautiful depiction of the bond between a brother and his sister. Arjun also featured Shriya Saran and Tamil actor Nassar in the lead.

An action drama, Annavaran featured Pawan Kalyan and actress Sandhya in the roles of caring siblings. Directed by Bhimaneni Srinivasa Rao, the film revolved around how the protagonist protects his sister and her husband from goons and makes Hyderabad a safe city. A commercial success, it also featured Asin and Ashish Vidyarthi in the lead roles.
