Will Cocktail cross Rs 100 crore mark at Indian Box Office?

Hindi movie Cocktail has continued to rock the audience across India in the second weekend too. Despite facing tough competition from the Hollywood movie The Dark Knight Rises, the Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer film has raked in Rs 12.25 crore nett taking its ten days total to Rs 66.25 crores nett. Trade analysts feel that the movie has chances to cross Rs 100 crore mark at the Indian Box Office soon.

Cocktail embarked on an earth-shattering response in the first weekend with its collection reaching Rs 36 crore nett at the Box Office. The business of the movie also fared well on weekdays and it added Rs 18 crores to the first week total Rs 54 crores nett. This is a record business for a romantic comedy in recent years.

Although this week witnessed the release of three Hindi movies, Homi Adajania directed film did not have any tough competitor from Bollywood. But the business of Cocktail, which is being screened in maximum number of multiplexes, was affected by The Dark Knight Rises as this movie also caters to multiplexes audience. The breakup of its second week collection is Rs 3.25 cr on Fri, Rs 4 cr on Sat and Rs 5 cr on Sun.

However, Cocktail is expected to collect at least Rs 10 crores to Rs 12 crores in next four days, thereby taking its second week total to Rs 78.25 crores nett. The movie, which will not have big competitor in next two weeks, is expected to score a century in another week or ten days.
