Sooraj Barjatya speaks on Vivah

Sooraj Barjatya had a chat with all his fans with whom he discussed a lot about the latest hit from Rajshri Films, Vivah. Here are the excerpts of the chat.

fd : So how do u get the idea of new stories or different stories??
Sooraj Barjatya : fd, we have our own story dept.
Krishna : The movie exceeded my expectations. The character of Poonam is the best ever. I watched the movie 6 times already.
Sooraj Barjatya: Krishna, thank u so much...flattered, glad u connected with Poonam's simplicity.

kamlesh : Hello soraj-jii, I saw Vivah and liked it very much, specially all songs are very nice and meaningful. Even though everyone wrote negative reviews about the songs, I think songs are really great and lyrics are meaningful
Sooraj Barjatya : Kamlesh, thank u. All were against my choice of music but i stuck to the story requirement and was very keen that hindi language should come back in our poetry

nitesh_shahani : How was it working with AMRITA N SHAHID for the first time?
Sooraj Barjatya : Shahid and Amrita have worked very closely with me.

hitu : Your movies repair the rough patches within relationship, it encourages to live life positively. Your movies stay in my heart forever....you rock suraj sir....ur movies are tiny vedas n shaastras which are simple and understandable
Sooraj Barjatya : Thank u hitu. The film is a success but what gives me greatest pleasure is that such a film with values has succeeded; no one can say that morals are gone.

mnstranger : Are u planning to make movie with Salman and Bhagashree again ?
Sooraj Barjatya : It will all depend on the subject, but why not?
neil : Will u be making a sequel to MPK?
Sooraj Barjatya : Neil, i dont think that is possible as both Prem and Suman have grown up!

AJ : I really loved your movie a lot, do you plan on taking Shahid Kapoor again?
Sooraj Barjatya : AJ, Shahid is a wonderful actor and if I had a script ready, i wouldn't allow him to meet any other producer.

Sooraj Barjatya : Rajiv, we will be making more films which I will be creatively supervising with other directors, we are moving ahead in television, mobile and online entertainment and waiting for my next subject.

kartik_pune : Sir, do u think Vivaah will get adequate no of screens next week onwards because dhoom2 is releasing with record number of screens ....
Sooraj Barjatya : We are marketing Vivah very tenderly as it is a special film...the prints are increasing slowly as we want to establish the film, fortunately Dhoom 2 is a diff genre of film than Vivah, our audiences are different

Balu : Hi there, love your films, even Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon. Your films make me so happy!
Sooraj Barjatya : Thank you Balu, for liking MPKDH, not many have liked it..

kamlesh : Sooraj-jii, please give us movies once in two years, now a days we hardly can go with family and see some movies. So please give us movies at fast rate.

Sooraj Barjatya : Kamlesh, we will try our best. It takes time to make family films, natural onscreen

Toocool : Vivah has just changed my view on arranged marriage. Now I just want an arranged marriage and a girl like Poonam
Sooraj Barjatya : Too cool, nothing could make me more happy than this reaction.
mnstranger : Sooraj sir there is subject u can tune in. Plz look at the Malayalam film (Superstar and Minna minnig talekade).

hitu : Sirji, are r u a vegetarian.?
Sooraj Barjatya : Yes, I am a vegetarain..

kartik_pune : Sooraj ji ... how about casting Shahrukh, Amitabh and Kajol ...
Sooraj Barjatya : Kartik, give me the subject..

Maleeha : What inspired you to make Vivah?
Sooraj Barjatya : Maleeha, it was my fascination with the courtship period which inspired me.

Ajju : i would like to ask u one question that why this time u didn't work with RAM LAXMAN as he always gives u extraordinary music as has been the case in your past movies. If we compare your previous films to Vivah it doesn't sound that good.
Sooraj Barjatya : Ajju, this film require special indian music especially western UP folk for which Raviji was ideal.

nitesh_shahani : Which is your favorite movie from your own production house?
Sooraj Barjatya : My favourite movie is Uphaar, starring Jayaji

Yagnesh : what do u like to do in ur past times Mr. Barjatya?
Sooraj Barjatya : Yagnesh, whatever time i get i try to read specially litreture

rajiv : Sir in todays times when marriages are disintegrating how about seeing a film about protecting that institution? Who else but you can do the best job at that?
Sooraj Barjatya : Rajiv, thanks. While making this film all told me that no one would believe in this theme, the audience has proved them wrong

sai : Your movies are really awesome.. we all love to see them, u are probably one of the very few who still make clean, simple and great movies. Please keep going
