Globes.

actress,
who

have

the
Emmy
and
SAG
award,
finally
scored
her
first
Golden
Globe
as
the
'Best
Actress
in
a
Supporting
Role
in
Motion
Picture'
for
her
performances
in
Fences.
"This
is
my
fifth
nomination.
I
took
all
the
pictures
and
went
to
the
luncheon,
but
it's
right
on
time," Davis
said
while
accepting
the
award.
Talking
about
her
movie,
the
actress
said
she
is
happy
to
be
appreciated
in
a
movie,
which
is
meant
for
art
and
not
for
money-making.
"To
all
the
people
who
believed
in
this
piece
of
work.
It's
not
every
day
that
Hollywood
thinks
of
translating
a
play
to
screen.
It
doesn't
scream
money
maker.
But
it
does
screams
art.
It
does
scream
heart,"
Davis
explained
at
the
award
ceremony.
Davis
then
addressed
her
co-star
and
director
Denzel
Washington
and
said
he
is
an
extraordinary
leader.
"Thank
you
for
being
an
extraordinary
leader,
great
actor,
great
director.
Thank
you
for
saying
trust
me,
and
remember
the
love."
Said
Davis.
The
actress
then
credited
her
success
to
her
husband
and
said,
"My
husband
always
takes
care
of
the
trophies
because
after
tonight,
I
gotta
put
the
trophy
away
and
get
back
to
work.
He
puts
it
in
the
office
on
a
shelf."
