PHAILWAN NEWS: Sudeep Not Just A Boxer; Also A Wrestler!

The first look posters of Hebbuli Krishna directorial, Phailwan, starring Kichcha Sudeep were released a day prior to Sudeep's birthday on September 2, yesterday.

The posters were a hit among the audience and were shared virally across various social media platforms. For the uninitiated, Phailwan marks the first sports flick for Abhinaya Chakravarthy Kichcha Sudeep.

It will also be the first time the actor will essay the role of a boxer for a film. For the same, Kichcha Sudeep is already undergoing rigorous training for his body and is also learning professional boxing.

Just a couple of days after the first look posters were released, a new yet explosive news is spreading like wildfire in Gandhinagara. The surprising news is that Sudeep will not only be a boxer in the film, but he will also be a wrestler.

If you think we just heard a rumour and are passing it on to you, then you are wrong! This news was officially revealed by the DOP turned director, Krishna, who previously directed Sudeep's blockbuster hit, Hebbuli.

Both A Wrestler As Well As A Boxer

According to the director of Phailwan, the story of the film involves both wrestling and boxing. He has also said that special boxing and wrestling trainers have been hired from overseas to train the Abhinaya Chakravarthy. They will also be given the tough task of composing the fight and stunt scenes in the film.

Fights In Hubballi and Davangere

Krishna, Phailwan film's director has apparently planned to film the boxing fight scenes in Hubballi and Davanagere. Though the director has mentioned the places, he has not specifically mentioned why he chose those two cities to film the boxing fight scenes.

Technical Department Of Phailwan

Phailwan film will be produced under the banner RRR Productions, headed by Krishna's wife, Swapna. Music for the film will be composed by Arjun Janya and Karunakar will be the cinematographer.

Filming To Start From October

Kichcha Sudeep, who is currently busy shooting for Prem's The Villain, will finish shooting for it by the end of September. Later, he will shoot for 'Bigg Boss Season 5' and after finishing it, he will take up Phailwan, mostly by October end.
