National
Award
winning
director
Venu
Nair
is
all
set
to
make
yet
another
wonderful
movie,
which
is
all
set
to
start
rolling.
Titled
Blue,
the
movie
will
star
Rahman
and
Aparna
Nair
in
lead
roles.
According
to
Venu,
Blue
tells
the
tale
of
a
director,
who
stands
apart
in
the
industry
for
his
calibre
and
handles
challenging
subjects
in
his
films,
but
struggles
to
deal
with
similar
instances
in
real
life.
Rahman
will
be
essaying
the
role
of
the
director,
while
Aparna
Nair
will
play
a
lawyer
in
the
film.
Adding
on,
Venu
says,
"The
central
character
played
by
Rahman
is
someone
who
is
looked
upon
by
the
film
fraternity
like
a
Kum
Ki
Duk.
The
film
is
also
passively
influenced
by
the
episode
of
Aruna
Shanbaug,
the
nurse
who
has
been
living
in
a
vegetative
state
for
about
40
years
and
grabbed
national
attention
when
a
case
seeking
to
euthanise
her
was
rejected
by
the
Supreme
Court.
We
are
planning
to
start
the
shooting
in
the
first
week
of
July."
Blue
will
be
completely
shot
in
locations
including
Trivandrum,
Alleppey
and
Munnar.
Aparna
is
quite
happy
with
her
role
as
she
has
good
potential
in
bringing
life
to
bold
roles.
The
role
has
ample
scope
for
performance
and
is
quite
unlike
many
of
her
earlier
characters.
Shrita
Sivadas
is
also
playing
a
pivotal
role
in
the
film
and
plays
a
painter
named
Varsha.
