the

industry.
Reportedly,
Sameer
Thahir
has
been
roped
is
as
the
DOP
of
the
upcoming
Dhanush
starrer
Velai
Illa
Pattathari
2
aka
VIP
2.
The
cinematographer
made
his
Kollywood
debut
with
the
Priyadarshan-directed
acclaimed
movie
Sila
Samayangalil,
which
had
Prakash
Raj
in
the
lead
roles.
He
was
widely
appreciated
for
the
visualisation
of
the
movie.
VIP
2
marks
the
seventh
outing
of
Sameer
Thahir
as
a
cinematographer.
The
director-cinematographer,
who
was
an
assistant
of
Amal
Neerad,
made
his
debut
as
a
DOP
with
Amal's
directorial
debut,
the
Mammootty
starrer
Big
B.
He
later
forayed
into
direction
with
the
2011-movie
Chappa
Kurish.
Sameer
Thahir
later
handled
the
cinematography
of
several
popular
films,
including
Lal
Jose's
Diamond
Necklace
and
Anjali
Menon's
Bangalore
Days.

sequel
to

Illa
Pattathari

the
