the

Dark

which
was
one
of
the
most-awaited
Hollywood
movies
of
2012
in
India,
got
an
overwhelming
response
at
the
Indian
Box
Office,
thereby
sidelining
the
new
Indian
releases
like
Gattu,
Mere
Dost
Picture
Abhi
Baki
Hai
(MDPABH)
and
Challo
Driver.
It
also
affected
the
business
of
big
openers
like
Cocktail
and
Bol
Bachchan.
According
to
Indian
trade
experts,
the
Christian
Bale
and
Anne
Hathaway
starrer
English
movie
registered
90%
to
100%
occupancy
at
the
multiplexes
in
the
major
cities
across
the
country.
The
Dark

Rises
raked
in

crores
nett
at
the
Box
Office
on
the
first
day.
Its
business
grew
up
by
20%
on
the
following
days.
It
collected

crores

on
Saturday
and
Rs

crores
nett
on
Sunday.

is
the
last
movie
of
the

series,
which
is
one
of
the
most-popular
series
in
the
country.
Before
its
release,
Indian
trade
analyst
had
felt
that
it
would
break
the
first
weekend
collection
record
of
The
Amazing
Spider
Man.
But
with
its
collection
reaching

18.70
crores,
the
movie
has
failed
to
surpass
Spider
Man,
which
had
raked
in
Rs
29.10
crores
nett.
The
Amazing
Spider
Man
had
also
received
an
earth-shattering
response
at
the
Box
Office
in
the
country.
It
had
raked
in
Rs
8.50
crores
nett
on
the
first
day
of
its
release
in
the
country.
Its
collection
had
improved
on
the
following
days,
with
the
film
grossing
Rs
9.60
crores
nett
on
Saturday
and
Rs
11
crores
nett
on
Sunday.
