Court Rejects Saikumar's Divorce Petition

Kollam family court rejected actor Saikumar's petition to divorce his ex-wife, theatre artist Prasanna Kumari. The petition was rejected as Saikumar failed to appear in the court for the hearings.

Saikumar married Prasanna Kumari in 1986. It was an arranged love marriage for the couple, who has acted as the lead pair in some highly popular theatre dramas. Saikumar decided to end the marriage and started living separately in 2008.

According to the actor, Prasanna Kumari, was actually elder than him; but cheated him by hiding her actual age. Saikumar has also stated that he was fed up with his wife's greedy nature and lack of respect.

But Prasanna Kumari has alleged that Saikumar decided to end the marriage due to his relationship with actress Bindu Panicker. She also stated Saikumar even refused to support her when she was going through health issues.

The couple's only daughter Vaishnavi is living with her mother. Reportedly, that she quit her studies due to financial issues and mental stress. As per the rumours, Vaishnavi is sharing a cold relationship with her father.

Saikumar, on the other hand, has married Bindu Panicker in a private ceremony. He is currently living in Kochi, with the actress and her daughter from her first marriage, Kalyani.
