I Will Direct A Hollywood Film With Thala Ajith In The Lead: Gautham Menon
Gautham Menon is known as a stylish filmmaker. Some of his films are even compared to Hollywood flicks just because the way he narrates his films that oozes with style. His latest work, Yennai Arindhaal too had its own style elements and was being compared to some of the films dished out in the western countries.
In a recent interview, Gautham Menon shared his views on Yennai Arindhaal and its central character Sathyadev, played by Thala Ajith Kumar. After reminding him of his works being compared to a lot of Hollywood movies, the interviewer asked if he has any interest to direct a straight English film.
Gautham Menon's reply was surprisingly quick, he said, "I am not interested to work with Hollywood artists however, I would like to direct a Hollywood movie with our own artists. In fact, I have plans of directing a straight English feature film with Ajith in the lead. If Ajith agrees to it, then this project is definitely on."
Gautham's reply amused everyone present in the location. If this project takes shape, then we are looking at some serious entertainment. Gautham also went on to add that if at all this project goes on floors then it will surely be a grand movie just like any other Hollywood flick.
The Vaaranam Aayiram director is currently working on a Simbu starrer post which he might join hands with Chiyaan Vikram for the first time. His latest release Yennai Arindhaal is doing just fine at the box office and is on the verge of being declared a blockbuster hit.
