Anil
Kapoor's
daughters
Sonam
Kapoor
and
Rhea
Kapoor
are
working
on
their
chick-flick
Veerey
Di
Wedding
and
the
film
also
stars
Kareena
Kapoor
and
Richa
Chadha.
The
movie
had
to
go
on
floors
in
2016
but
since
Kareena
was
pregnant,
they
postponed
it
to
May
2017.
However,
the
issue
now
here
is
that
Jimmy
Shergill
is
working
on
a
film
with
a
similar
name
titled
'Veerey
Ki
Wedding'
and
things
are
not
alright
with
the
Kapoor's
regarding
this.
A
report
in
Mid-Day
revealed
that
Anil
Kapoor
has
come
forward
and
written
a
letter
to
the
Film
Makers
Combine
to
look
into
the
matter
and
now
Jimmy
Shergill
claims
that
he
registered
the
film's
name
first
in
2015
and
the
Kapoor's
came
later.
The
director
of
Jimmy
Shergill's
next
Ashu
Trikha
was
quoted
as
saying,
"The
association
suggests
that
a
trademark
supersedes
any
other
registration.
Legally,
we
have
supported
out
title
with
everything."
The
director
also
claimed
that
they
had
registered
the
name
well
beforehand
in
2015
with
the
Indian
Motion
Pictures
Producers
Association
and
acquired
copyright
and
trademark
for
the
title.
A
senior
member
from
IMPAA
revealed
that
the
case
might
go
in
favour
of
Jimmy
Shergill's
film
and
Anil
Kapoor's
daughters
might
have
to
chose
a
new
name
for
their
film.
However,
we
will
have
to
wait
and
watch
for
an
official
confirmation.
Also,
fifty
percent
of
Jimmy
Shergill's
film
has
already
been
shot
and
in
a
week
or
two
it
will
complete
80
per
cent
of
its
shoot.
Given
a
month's
time
the
film
might
be
successfully
completed.
We'll
have
to
wait
and
watch
whom
the
officials
will
favour
-
Sonam
Kapoor's
Veerey
Di
Wedding
or
Jimmy
Shergill's
Veerey
Ki
Wedding.
