Kunjiramayanam Movie Review: Logic Less Fun

Kunjiramayanam is the comical entertainer, which stars Vineeth Sreenivasan in the tile role Kunjiraman. The movie is directed by Basil Joseph. Kunjiramayanam is produced by Suvin V Varkey, under the banner Little Big Films.

Kunjiramayanam Plot

Kunjiraman is a young NRI who returns to his hometown Desam. He is planning to get married soon and is searching for a correct partner. His cousin brother Lalu (Dhyan Sreenivasan) secretly plots against Kunjiraman, due to some reasons. The brothers are brought together by Kuttan (Aju Varghese). What happens to the cousins forms the rest of the plot.

Cast & Performances

Vineeth Sreenivasan, who portrays Kunjiraman, is brilliant in his full-filled role. He performance reminds his fathr Sreenivasan's fun characters. Dhyan Sreenivasan, who essays Lalu, is the perfect choice for the character. Aju Varghese, who essays Kuttan has nothing new to do.

The rest of the star cast includes Neeraj Madhav, Mamukoya, Indrans, Seema G Nair, Hareesh, Deepak Parambol, Bijukuttan, Srinda, Sneha Unnikrishnan, Arya Rohith etc have played their parts to near perfection.

Script & Direction

The screenplay is jointly penned by Deepu Pradeep and Basil Joseph. The story and dialogues are written by Deepu Pradeep. The beginning and the climax portions are nice; but movie loses its flow in the middle portion.

Basil Joseph makes a decent directorial debut with the movie. The movie is filled with the logic less fun elemnets; but only a few of them manage to make the audience laugh.

Technical Aspects

The cinematography by Vishnu Sharma is perfect. The visualisation has helped in creating the imainary village and the fun-filled characters. Appu Bhattathiri's editing meets the standards.

Songs And Background Score

Songs and background score are composed by Justin Prabhakaran. The song are different and interesting; especially the song Salsa. The background score manages to sink in with the plot.

Verdict

A logic less fun-filled entertainer, for a one-time watch.
