As
we
had
reported
earlier,
Drashti
Dhami
will
be
making
a
comeback
in
television
with
Ekta
Kapoor's
Production
House,
Balaji
Telefilms'
next
titled
'Pardes
Mein
Hai
Mera
Dil'.
Popular
actor
Shaleen
Malhotra
will
be
playing
the
lead
role
opposite
Drashti
Dhami
and
actor

is

Show
On
Star
Plus!
The
show
is
based
on
Manju
Kapoor's
novel
'The
Immigrant'
and
is
also
loosely
inspired
by
the
hit
Bollywood
movie,
Pardes.
If
sources
are
to
be
believed,
the
show
will
take
a
primetime
time-slot
of
8.30
pm
and
will
replace
the
show,
'Humko
Tumse
Ho
Gaya
Hai
Pyar
Kya
Karein?'.
The
channel
has
decided
to
end
the
show
just
after
2
months
of
going
on-air
because
of
the
low
ratings
and
will
be
replaced
by
Pardes
Mein
Hai
Mera
Dil.
The
show
might
be
launched
in
the
month
of
September,
but
the
official
announcement
regarding
the
same
is
awaited.
Apparently,
some
of
the
portions
will
be
shot
abroad
and
the
entire
team
will
be
flying
to
the
picturesque
locations
of
Austria
in
the
first
week
of
September.
Apart
from
the
stellar
star
cast,
veteran
actors,
who
have
been
a
part
of
the
previous
Ekta's
shows.
As
per
the
reports,
actors
Alka
Amin
of
'Parichay'
fame,
Muni
Jha
of
Kyunki
Saas
Bhi
Kabhi
Bahu
Thi
and
Usha
Bachani
have
been
roped
in
for
pivotal
roles.
Drashti
will
play
the
role
of
'Naina'
in
the
show.
She
will
dislike
the
idea
of
getting
married
because
of
her
ailing
mother.
But,
the
fate
will
have
something
else
for
her.
Shaleen
will
reprise
Shahrukh's
role
in
'Pardes'
and
play
the
role
of
Anand,
and
Laksh
will
play
a
rich
spoilt
brat
called
Veer.
His
character
will
be
in
the
lines
of
Apurva
Agnihotri's
role
in
'Pardes'.
We
just
can't
wait
for
the
show
to
begin,
what
say,
guys?
