After
a
series
of
defamation
cases
that
rocked
Kollywood
in
the
recent
past,
a
producer
named
M
Muthuraman
has
filed
a
police
complaint
against
well
known
director
Sundar
C.
Muthuraman
had
produced
a
horror
film
in
1978
titled
Aayiram
Jenmangal
starring
Rajinikanth,
Vijayakumar
and
Latha
in
the
lead.
According
to
his
complaint
that
was
written
to
the
Chennai
Police
Commissioner,
Muthuraman
has
alleged
that
the
recently
released
film
Aranmanai
that
was
directed
by
Sundar
C
was
based
on
his
film
Aayiram
Jenmangal
which
was
considered
as
a
box
office
hit
back
then.
He
has
gone
on
to
say
that
he
had
plans
of
remaking
the
1978
movie
in
Hindi
and
Telugu
but
then
Sundar
C
approached
him
with
the
plans
of
making
Aranmanai.
According
to
him,
Sundar
C
had
promised
to
pay
him
50
lakh
rupees
and
in
addition
to
that
would
also
share
the
profit
Aranmanai
makes
from
its
Telugu
and
Kannada
versions.
But
even
after
the
movie
being
declared
a
hit,
Sundar
C
apparently
had
failed
to
keep
up
his
promise
and
that's
when
Muthuraman
has
sought
legal
help
to
taste
justice
and
to
get
his
dues.
An
official
reply
from
the
Aranmanai
director
is
expected
soon.
Meanwhile,
his
latest
venture
Ambala
featuring
Vishal
and
Hansika
in
the
lead
has
reached
its
post
production
stage
and
is
expected
to
hit
theatres
for
Pongal
next
year.
The
film
also
marks
the
debut
of
'Hiphop
Tamizha'
Adhi
as
a
music
director
and
his
song
'Pazhagikalaam'
has
already
become
a
huge
sensation
among
music
lovers
in
India
and
also
in
foreign
countries.
